The location right next to the old fortress and the ferry terminal.
The hotel does not have its own parking space. However, we were lucky and could park our car directly on the public parking lot in front of the hotel.

excellent breakfast with solent view, beautiful location on the shore next to the castle, historical flair: staircase, lounge with old painting of "george
rooms overlooking roofs, especially painful when you see what other rooms there were; little choice on the evening menu

We truly enjoyed spending 3 nights at the George Hotel And Beach Club in Yarmouth. the property was enchanting and brilliant, and we had a fab stay. the breakfast was excellent with an amazing green smoothie. the double room was beautiful and atmospheric, equipped with an electric kettle, central heating, and an iron. Free Wi-Fi was available in all rooms, and the service in general was good.

Very helpful staff - we were on ground floor (room 1) and were able to park our motorcycle in the garden, outside the room. The room had both a wet room/shower and separate bathroom. Lovely location beside the water and the castle. Good breakfast choices.
Breakfast rather slow when busy. Bed not as comfortable as some (2 singles bolted together)

The room we stayed in had recently been refurbished and was done to a very high quality. The room was very spacious ideal for lounging about and having the tea and coffe available on request (Although we were not clear when this was complimentary and when we had to pay). The dining room had lovely views as did the outside sitting area. Very well placed for exploring the Isle of Wight.
The service in the dining room at both breakfast and in the evening was very slow and the young staff team appeared to lack experience and supervision. Whilst the evening meal was of good quality the portions were very small erring on meanness bearing in mind the prices that were being charged. I would stay again but not eat here as there are plenty of excellent restaurants providing much better value in Yarmouth.

Great location for visiting the west of island and dining looking out at Solent on a sunny day was wonderful. Very nice decor and ambience, although our room was the smallest double I've ever stayed in!! From the brochure, other rooms looked quite amazing so we wouldn't stay again in case we got the tiny double, No 21. Breakfast was good and service brilliant! We didn't dine there as looked expensive, but plenty of alternatives round about. Great lounge and bar but was incredibly busy as when you search for hotels in I o w some of them are rather 1950s and you could list appropriate 21st century ones on one hand so they must have cornered the market? Although we have discovered a gem for which I will write a review!!!
No free car parking meant we had to use the nearest public car park £6.60 for 24hrs. Just the size of our room wasn't worth the money and there were no tea-making facilities, bottles of water and a promising large tin with 3 mint imperials!! A similar tin on landing held a soft shortbread biscuit and I was charged for hot chocolate! Also the hotel brochure had pictures of the proprieters and rooms but no indication of meal times, menus etc and no booklets of any local attractions! We had to go to tourist office. Girl on desk was always in a terrible fluster!
